Rainmakers’ vision? That the world is worth saving and that each act of doing that work, no

matter how tiny, is hope-building and life-giving. And profoundly spiritual.

 

Our Rainmakers’ mission? To say so! To begin, through documentary film, and eventually

via a website/podcast that builds a community of good news, interpersonal communication and

dialogue about the good work people everywhere are doing.

 

Our slightly wild premise? There is another underworld; one of good. And that the desire to

do good is inside of people, reflecting God’s original hope for creation. This hope needs a

mouthpiece, and people are inspired by the good deeds of others.

 

The idea of taking seriously the idea that we are God’s co-creators and taking on the responsibility of healing a fallen world is found all through scripture, and yet is sadly skipped over, or even dismissed.

 

Our hope is to fundamentally challenge the idea that all is lost. As people of faith, it is our happy responsibility to—as ancient Israel would say—"Tikkun olam." or "Heal the world."

 

And, as we add at Rainmakers, "Heal the World, try it! It's fun!"

 

At Rainmakers, we hope to highlight the people, the heroes and the work...that are doing just that.
